Exactly what a TPS is!

A LOT of research still has to be done before I would try another setup. I'm just not pleased by how basic the products are and the fact that customer support doesn't know what an ammeter is!!

Acetone does indeed work. However on a electronic fuel injected car you have to be very careful of the amounts used. And/or you need to slightly adjust the 02 signal.

I've used acetone for 3-4 years now. I can tell you first hand that it does indeed work. Especially on very in-efficient engines (carburators) and on engines where larger amounts of fuel are used.

I think this HHO does work. But the general knowledge and especially the control systems are just simply crude by todays standards.

In my research on this I keep finding folks who are more interested in making HHO than they are in putting it to use. If we can't improve MPG easily with it.. what's the point?

a buddy of mine has done the hho kit on his 4.0 ranger and has seen a difference in his mpg havent heard reults on a full tank yet but it is getting better mpg than b4. i havent actually seen his set up but do plan on doing it as well. and since he has the instructions i can go buy everything needed at the local hardware store. i'll do a write up on it once done.

whew...

I've paid a few websites a visit about this stuff and there's just too many questions that go unanswered about it. HHO is hydrogen. That stuff is extremely dangerous. If you're putting this in a ranger and it works fine, but I don't want to be anywhere near you if you have an accident or some eletrical fire. You'll go out with a bang along with 10 city blocks if you know what I mean.

Untrue about the accident. It only produces enough HHO to be in the transfer tube and if applicable, the bubbler.

I did a little experiment with mine, I held a lighter to the end of the HHO tube when it was on, it popped, and the top came off (the pressure release valve), but no explosion...no detonation...nothing.

Until I'm proved otherwise, HHO will not be deadly in an accident.

And steve, I've yet to see a car blow up around 10 city blocks...and I'm in the fire service, so I've seen a few car fires I actually have seen 1 car blow, and it had a propane tank in the back and it wasn't even on duty...it was pretty neat though.

But don't be too worried...your worse off to have an oxygen cylinder (which people drive around with all the time) in the trunk, or a propane tank for a BBQ. Or even 5 gallons of gas sitting in the bed....so don't be too worried about HHO. You might melt your paint on your hood a little, or cause a single vehicle fire, but it's going to be nothing seriuos...and after all, there is water in the device :)

Hydrogen isn't as dangerous as many people think. Sure, it is dangerous when you fill a zepplin with it...but we'd of seen something similar if you filled a zepplin with methane or butane and it caught on fire. What is "dangerous" about HHO is that it meets exact combustion ratios with oxygen. Still, an HHO generator in this instance cant create nearly enough to do anything but blow the HHO generator apart.

I've not given up on this yet. But I still can't find anyone who's measured EGTs or A/F with a wide band.

I find it amazing that no one has done this. Or at least no one seems to be posting about it?

The thing I keep seeing is that people are in love with the idea of it all. The actual measurements and averages seem to not matter one bit to them.

If I do this I'd measure evrything I possibly could and report what I saw no matter what the outcome.

Don't forget you are already carrying around a tank of combustable gasoline.

I know, right. I just want to know if this actually works well enough to save me money and justify the time and cost of installing one.

There you go trying to be reasonable and looking for true value.

i cant get a hold of my buddy who did it on his 4.0 ranger to find out his reults which is kinda making me a lil anxious for someone else to get it to work right. once again if i hear something trust me you will be first to now. i have read on and fj cruiser forum a guy putting it on his tacoma and gaining like 50 miles to his tank so im happy with that.
