jump seat mod??
sorry couldn't help it, its just a dam good idea!
Yeah I wouldn't worry too much about making the box in the space left when removing the old jumpseat, just to how install those new style jumpseats back there. I assume that the backwall and the floor haven't change that much that prevent from installing those seats. ¿?

what can i say its not easy being a genius
i dont think it has changed much at all, but what i want to do is fab a bracket that will bolt up on the hump at the bottom and back of the wall and floor....where the body mount bolts run through, fab a bracket and weld it to the hump, and have the seat bolt up to the bracket. Personnally i think the wall isnt strong enough to support the jumpseats.
I found a pic in eBay for the new style jumpseats with brackets and everything, it seems that is a matter of drilling and bolting them on for our trucks (Gen2), from what I can see, it bolts to the floor hump and lower wall with about 6 to 8 bolts, not so difficult I think.
I hope this link works..

doesnt look that difficult at all....mind you i have 4 years of manufacturing/fabricating experience
i think once i have some more free time im gonna call around some wreckers to see if they have the seats, and if not i have to take a trip down and rip them out myself. But overall its just a matter of drilling and bolting things up.
i ripped the rear seats out of my ranger yesterday. kinda looks like *** back there as there was no carpet under where the seats were. grrrr. gonna see if a friend can help me make a customer enclosure for a 10" JL sub on one side back there, probably put it on the passenger side. it shouldn't eat up all too much room!
