LED Door Locks`

Yeah. Powered actuators connected to a small board under the dash gave me power options for my door locks when they were push to lock when I bought it.
They worked very well. At the time, I had an alarm installed with the actuators to sorta kill 2 birds while the door skin was apart, make that 3 birds, cause I painted and applied new red vinyl to the door's fabric inserts at the sam time. ( Something I'll never consider doing again, and would not recommend to anyone)
IIRC, it was pretty close to Ranger09's price at 150. Good deal IMO. And worth their weight in good for the convenience of powered locks.

PATS is Passive AntiTheft System and it makes use of the RFID key.

*****WARNING: TEASER ALERT!*****
so i was laying in bed this morning, after night shift, thinking about led switches i am getting off of ebay for my truck, and then my mind wandered to this thread... and how i couldn't do this mod... then it dawned on me... there is a VERY SIMPLE way to do this mod, that anyone can do to any vehicle... as long as it has automatic locks, and even if it has the manual ones, it can be done (as long as there is a keyhole, so that you can actually unlock it) except locking from the inside becomes an issue...
so i am not going to describe how to do this just yet... although i am 99% sure this will work. can someone please help me find the actual led's used in this? red/green and ones that hopefully already have housings that will fit in the holes...
meanwhile i will make sure this will work :D gotta do a little research
also, my method, at this point, is looking like it will cost around $10 per door, but take a little bit of labour...

You can get these items from many sources. Mine came from AllElectronics.com
T 1 3/4 LED CLIP, ONE PIECE | AllElectronics.com
BI-POLAR LED, 2 LEGS | AllElectronics.com
The above LEDs are overpowered by direct sunlight so they are most effective in shadow or at night. If you can find the equivalent in a higher output version, that would be better.
