go try it... pour a small amount of gas on the ground, and light a cigarette... it's a hollywood myth...

mythbusters did a segment on it, but i can't seem to find the video of it

fumes are flammable..


gas itself isnt..you can throw a match in gas..it will go out..now if the flame gets to the fumes first then BOOM..
