I am looking at two diffrent sets of taillights. I have found a set of black carbon fiber I like, and a set of chrome. I am also going to change the corners. I have found clear and black for those also. Opinions please. The chrome seem more rice.

Carbon fiber version looks better than the chrome. There are better options though.

 

Yeah im not liking either of those. IMO they will make your truck look like a Honda Civic. I think there are some better lights out there for you... You could always go with the all clear lens and get some L1224Rs for your brake lights and some amber bulbs for the turn sigs

i've got 07 tails, i like em, but i want to go all led, fancy, maybe something similar to the cadalac style, thin strips... not entirely sure... but if and when i do that, mine would probably be for sale...

i don't like either of those... i would go with something like this...

you can get a much better light than you have shown there, IMO, but if you think they would look good... it's your truck man, do what you think would look best

I like the clean factory look and would get a set of 2000 tails and mod them for the 3 bulb set up. That way you get rid of the amber turn signal and keep it clean.

 

What years are interchangeble? I am seing sets that fit 93-98 and others that say will fit 93-00.

 

93+ will fit. 93-99 are 3 bulb tails. 00+ are 2 bulb tails.

 

I think I found the tails I like. I have not done the headlight mod yet, but with black tails, it will come in the spring.

You have so much chrome in the front that I think chrome/clear theme would look better than going black IMO. I think having all that shiny chrome up front, and then BAM, two spots of darkness would not blend very well, and just make them kinda stick out.

 

Too keep someone from taking aftermarket lighs, what are you guys doing to protect them. I do not have power locks or a locking tailgate. I was thinking of going to fastenal and get some screws that have a star bit with a hole. Any other ideas.

 

i would pick the ones cody picked. And wow you seriously have to worry bout your taillights down there? thats insane.

 

I have never had to worry about my tail lights so they are just held on by the stock screws. I would be more worried about someone stealing my tail gate before my tail lights.

The last set of tails are ok, but still look to ricey to me. I would at least get the set of the black ones with the red lenses.

i don't like the white halo that it leaves... it looks kinda messed up...

you also have to remember what colour your truck is, and what not, i don't think you can do the headlight mod on a 95...

take a look at these headlights, with these tails though...





i think they would match, so if you could get some 00+ headlights on there... DO IT! i don't know what it would take... i would check ebay, see if they have 00+ STYLE headlights made for yours...

the other thing, is the tails i posted right above... if you were to give it a light coat of night shade, it would take a lot of the rice out (i know i am repeating myself)

 

just get stock 06 tails. all those euro ones are gross imo i know if i saw them i wouldn't want to take them so if you get them i wouldn't worry lol

 

x2 on the 06 tails just got me a pair i love em wont buy anymore for a long time unless someone rams me I hate euros or alltezz lights they belong on ****ing stupid *** ricer cars. I love STOCK FORD PARTS.
