transmission breather tubes

possibly another noob question.

I was reading a little writeup on a K5 Blazer forum about what to do when you get a "new to me" Blazer. most was common sense stuff...replace fluids, filters, etc. One of them though was to extend the breather tube to a height that will not get submerged. They recommended hood level.

Would this be something that is possible with ours? i've only looked at my transmission and it looked like you could put some sort of tubing to extend it upwards. I can't remember anything about the differentials.

Common mod. Just add hose or use a new hose all together. All you would need is worry about is the front and rear diffs and the t case.

I just didn't know if this was something that many people did...just drumming up a conversation. I don't mud or anything, but seems like something that would be a good "just in case" thing to do

I usually just run them all into the engine bay. mount them to the firewall. If I have water up that high the diffs/tcase is the least of my worries.
