Yea there ya go. So there is such thing as a "old" 5.4. And that engines been around since like what? 2002?

 

the 5.4 debuted as a 2V in 97...and in 04 it became a 3V...and only the high end SUVs(navigator), and the newer cobra got the 4V 5.4

 

Ahha! Im not as crazy as I seem! But its kinda sad to see all of Fords engines retired in a couple years time period... 5.4/4.6 replaced by a 5.0.... 4.0 replaced by a 3.7.... Next thing you know, the Ranger will be discontinued all together!!! wait..... it was.
That reminds me, what is Ford gonna replace the Ranger with? They cant just stop making a mid size truck. Thats a fairly big portion of the car market

 

well nothing right now...and technically its a small truck...its competition just grew lol

 

True. I can see why Ford was on the losing end too. Everyone else has WAYYY more options. Basically all the threads on here (leather, 4 doors, and V8 engines)
