Will this tire/wheel package work?

I just turned 16, and my dad is going to purchase my grandfathers ford ranger for me to drive. I'm not 100% sure I. What exactly the truck is, but it's a 2004 ford ranger, silver in color, FX4. Now I'm not sure if there was an "off road" series or anything but its taller and has more aggressive tires than my buddies ranger. (It has the original tires and barely any miles) now I'm curious if this wheel/tire package will work or not. I think I have more tire than I need and more tire than I can fit.

Wheels are 16X8
Ultra Nomad Machined w/Anthracite Accent

Tires are 305/70R16
BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2

If these will not fit, how much of a lift am I looking at to get them to fit?

Thanks for your guys help!
Justin.

P.S. I have attached a picture if what the ranger looks like, but this own the exact truck. And I have also attached a screenshot of a tire size compare. The 305 is what I want to put on and the 245 is the recommend tire for the wheel.

Body style and look of the truck. Not the truck.

Welcome to the site.

Checkout this link for some info: https://www.ranger-forums.com/wheels...re-size-20047/

Just take some time and look around the site for awhile - tons of this 'starter type' information is in rather easy to find places.
