K & N Billet Oil Filter (reusable)

Have any of you tried this on their rig?

It's kinda cost prohibitive and buying 15-20 of their regular filters will make up the cost of this thing, but how cool would it look every time you crawl under your rig to change an O2 sensor or crank the torsion bars a bit more or even change the oil to have this thing looking back at you?

I need to win the Lotto

I'm researching oil filters meow, and I've heard mostly good reviews from K & N. I've already bought their air filter, and I've been happy cleaning the thing every year for the last 15 years. Even YouTube reviewers have sawed through the casings of many different oil filters, and Royal Purple and K & N have been at the top across the board.

I'm just curious about this little guy. Maybe if I get fit-shaced drunk, I may accidentally push "buy" while going through old girlfriend numbers and accidentally hit their website.

Fluid Cartridge filters are more "planet friendly" because of the waste generated by self contained Canister filters

The filtering doesn't change, assuming same sizes are used, so there is no benefit in that respect, for gasoline, diesel or oil

In the last 20-30years its just become cheaper to make the canisters, so cartridge costs are not that much less that canisters, which was their main benefit and why they were used on older vehicles

Yes, the $250 price tag is alot to swallow, to be Eco-friendly, but it is for sure Eco-friendly

I haven't looked but there are probably remote mounted cartridge oil filters that would be cheaper to install because you just need the engine specific plate matching your engine to plumb an off the shelf cartridge setup
