01RangerEdge build thread

I figured after everything I've done I should make a build thread. So this first post will probably get lengthy, but here it goes.

Not long after I bought it in August of 2005, got my sub and amp in February of 2006

In the Summer of 2009 I found this site, and my truck started its transformation.

First with Niteshade, LED door locks clear corners, OHC, and lights behind the grill (They didn't all happen at the same time, but close)

Then the exhaust got moved

Black emblem

Front hitch

Switchbacks

I don't remember the timing but I got a Kenwood KDC 794 ( the amp in the picture was replaced)

Modded clear corners

Had a cap, now I don't

CB and 15 watt PA (antenna is off for the time being)

Then the LED bug really bit, and around that time is when I got the Expo center console

Got black headlights and ditched the lights behind the grill while I modded them for 100 watt bulbs, then they were only on until I got HID's
Billet happened after but those pics are later

Expo leather buckets

Emblem mod gone wrong

And finally my Superlift coilover conversion with 33" KM2's and 15x8 Eagle Alloy 185's
*Random pictures in the process and of the results*

As it sits now

(Cows were creeping on my photoshoot)

I'm probably missing some pics or mods, but it's late. Enjoy

I have a random question. I've seen coilover conversions mounted in front of the axle shaft and behind. Is there a difference? Truck is looking good btw

Of all the threads I referenced I don't think I saw one with the coilover behind the CV. The way mine is mounted is in nearly the same position as the original shock

That makes sense. Try and keep that original geometry.

Ok, looking at your pics, it looks as if you mounted the coil behind the CV even though your saying you have never seen it mounted behind. I'm confused now.

Whoops lol. I meant in front of the CV. I was typing on my phone so I didn't catch it.

Good catch

I'm starting another little project to add to the many in progress.

I stopped by harbor freight and picked these up for $8

I switched out for 100W bulbs. I'm going to use the wiring I made for my 100W Hellas and the relays. I plan on wiring the reverse lights to them with a on/off/on switch I can control the reverse and aux. lights with a switch and the shifter.

100W on the left, 55W on the right
