Well the wife had to work this morning so I went down and did a little work...
First I pulled the injectors out

Can you see the missing cylinder?..hint...look at the color of the exhaust valves...

Yeah seems I had a run on 3.0 trucks...lol The next time I get a 4.0 it will probably go into the blck/grey truck.

Ok started the reassembly.After cleaning the block up I sat the heads on and torqued them down...

You could probably do this stuff in your sleep, couldn't you? That's awesome that you've got the ability and the parts to do this.

Well I drove it to work today and she ran smooth. Got a cel on the way to work for an o2 sensor, Swapped it out and reset the light, Should be mechanically done! Figured I post a final pic...

Cool #20.. how many more miles do you think are in it before it really dies? would make a great commuter down south.. Crazy turnaround time on the head swap!! with a quickness you are!

quite impressive that your capable of doing all of this just like that. wish i was just as confident to go pull apart my motor like that.

Well its hard to say how many miles are left on the motor but it runs good and doesn't make any noises or smoke so thats a good sign. Also I didn't notice a ridge at the top of the cylinders so the bores have very little wear. Yeah I just wanted to get it done and having spare head made it faster too.

I used to be a muscle car guy and have rebuilt a few motors so this was an easy project for me.
