Yea the ride height and uptravel will stay the same. I wasnt able to get the uptravel that i wanted but it would be way more work.

Right now, i plan on getting 4-4.5 inches uptravel before everything hits. Idealy i would like to be @ 6in but its not going to happen unless I raise the motor, change the shock mounts ect.

I can always raise it up a little for a dune trip...

KOH.. do it!

I'm gonna try to get out there next year to watch, I could have gone this year but I caught the thread a few weeks too late. A guy I know out of Houston always goes out there with his huge *** toy hauler and he had an empty seat this year..

The rest of the work looks great! I was wondering what you had been up to lately. Why all the race goodies? Are you planning on getting into more racing? Maybe I missed that part of the thread.

Is that at the hub or at the shock? because i have no clue how you are so low yet have that much!!! I can sit and redesign and look at mine over and over and there is no way i can get that out of mine. lol well from what i remember. i am going to go measure mine this weekend.

Thats at the shock... I could get another 1.5-2in but it i would have to raise the motor and raise the upper shock mounts.

I may do that in the future but, right now, i just want to get it running again.

No real reason for the cutting brakes other than a freind has them on his jeep and they are sweet... haha.

I will ditch the half tons as soon as i win the lotto. I havent really had a problem with them since i upgraded to alloys but that was with the pissed out 3.0L.

I see 1 tons in my future with the 5.0L.

yea, locks the brakes on each side of the truck making it so you can make sharp turns.. Basically like a tracked vehicle...ish? Lock one side up and spin the other.

Yea i am running a saginaw "canned ham" style pump. I dont think the stock pump has enough volume to push a ram.

Napa actualy sells a ford cII to saginaw conversion pump that alot of the full size bronco guys use.

This is the actual pump that i am running but im not sure how much massaging it would take to fit it to a stock bracket (mine was modified a bunch of times before i found this pump).

BroncOhio : Napa Power Steering Pump Upgrade

FullSizeBronco.com - 78 - 96 Ford Bronco offroad club, forums, tech, installs

I've read that they sell conversion brackets somewhere too...

IMO a stock saginaw barely pushes enough volume for a ram .... here is some info on how to modify them for more volume / pressure.

powersteering

hopefully that helps!

Other than that, no updates yet. Work has been crazy lately. Hopefully i will be able to get back at it this weekend.

Getting there....

Things left to do:

Pass side frame rail a shock hoop(this weekend)
Exhaust / O2s (monday)
Clean up some wiring
Clearance skid and re-install
Tune Motor
Plumb Tranny

Once i get it on the road, i am sure there will be a longer list of bugs i need to work out, but its def getting there. Slowly but surely.

nope the belly pan will stay. I just had it taken off for the exhaust guy.

Update from this weekend:

I got the frame rail re-done and exhaust finished up. Sounds wicked.

Now i am fighting a surging idle and starting to doubt the cam i chose. I think it may be a little agressive for what i need.

It sounds nasty but dies as soon as you put it in drive....

I have a lot of work to do in the next 3 weeks before the (planned) first run!
