I cant figure out how to take the chrome stuff along the sides off. Anyone know? I'd like to save it if I can.

The trailer special emblems were originally red around them and the letters were chrome. I would paint it but dont think I can tape the letters off good enough.

Update -

I got the new exhaust manifolds on and the new exhaust pipe. I put two cherry bombs on it. Sounds awesome. The passenger side exhaust still leaks though at the engine. I cant figure out why. I guess I am going to go back and try to tighten everything again. I dont think it will fix my problem which really sucks cause I have put alot of effort into this thing.

Will try and post some pics tomorrow.

I don't know if this will help any more cause it's dedicated more to the bumpsides rather than the dentsides, but check out FORDification.com - The 1967-1972 Ford Pickup Resource

Also, question on the tailgate, kind of looks like it came off a bump rather than a dent, but I could be wrong. I'm watching this thread close, anxcious to see what you do with it!

Actually I have been a member of fordification for a long time. Got over 3000 posts there. I use to have a 69. And yes the tailgate is from a bump, good job. My grandpa smashed his into a tree and I had one layin around.

Progress:

Zach I finally looked and they are disk brakes up front.

Got some new floor boards today for the truck. Started cutting the old out. Also have a new windsheild rubber to put in. Got the exhaust done to. Should have the new floor boards in tomorrow.

Also, figured out the exhaust leak. There was a whole in the passenger head in the back. Had to take the head off to fix it. Truck sounds amazing now with the exhaust all done. Might try to get a sound clip for you guys.

Yes, you need to get one like now. Old Fords are way more fun than the Ranger.

Got the new floor pans in. So much better. I'll try to get some pictures of it.

Going to the junkyard tomorrow to look for a peice to the grill, gas caps, head light ring, and air breather. I really need to find either a vinyl or carpet for the bottom. The vinyl in the truck is shot.

It should be almost a one of a kind. I never see any of these trucks with that bed on the road around here.

Went and played around in the truck since the exhaust is done. It turned some heads.

No updates as of now. Its been to cold out for us to want to work on it. We still have the new windshield seal to put in. Probably get to that over spring break if we can. Once warm weather comes we will finish the body work and get it painted. Cant wait for that

Ya, the cab needs new cab mounts in the near future. They have the normal rot on them.
