Remember, with powdercoat, if you get any real deep gouges and you want to touch them up, it'll be real hard to match it with paint. That's the only reason I wish I didn't powdercoat mine, but it's holding up really well so far anyway.
I've read on Pirate that quite a few guys like flat black paint so they can just respray it anytime they want.
