black01edge ranger log
ill grab some more pictures today. my camera was broke but i finally got a new one. was slacking on taking to get it fixed.
anyway, sandy the computer from the ranger is gone but the one from the f150 is going in. i got the entire truck so i have the wiring harness, ecu, and everything. it wont be a street truck for a while. once i get everything completed the way i want, ill work on seeing if i can get it inspected so i can fart around in it.
stay tuned for more pics

i never got around to taking pictures. it started raining pretty hardcore out there on sunday and its been raining ever since so i never went back out there. ill probably work on it some more this weekend so ill snap some pics of what i get done.
actually, not so fun. the manifolds are touching on both sides of the frame. kinda as a stopping point for a few days til i find something that will work. thinking of making my own headers in all honesty.
and im working on my doubler because that is going to be crucial int he placement and building of the motor mounts and trans mount..
touche. if i was smart, i would have done the same thing. however, i think i may have come up with a solution to my exhaust problem.
hopefully soon i can get out there to work on it again.
im actually planning on pushing the motor even farther back than that believe it or not. next step is to finish gutting the interior, then im going to pretty much cut out my trans tunnel and part of the firewall in order to push it back about another 3-4 inches. then ill make a lip on it so i can bolt it back down. but thatll help me when i need to work on it also.

how long is your rear driveshaft going to be once you do that? and with the doubler.
i thought about moving mine even further back but i am glad i didnt. id rather move the rear axle forward when I get the chance to shorten the wheelbase.

im not 100% sure how long it will be. havent even estimated it yet to be honest. AND, i will eventually move the rear axle forward about 10 inches or so. id love to be right around 115" wheelbase. however, ill have to see about that. id like to see the front and rear ds about the same length

Yea. The tcase I traded some stuff for. The bushings and stuff I should have bought a long time ago. And the manifolds are just one of those problem solver buys.
More work mañana

actually postponing the doubler issue for right now.
i had to do some hustlin to find this round pattern chevy 205 because im swapping all the ford 205 guts into it to run passenger drop.

It's actually not any extra work. My leaf springs are built to the exact same width for chevy stuff cuz I built it with a 78 ford d44. Its actually easier for me to use a chevy 60 because their spring pads are all the sane width apart. And all I have to do is switch tcases.
It'll be a bit different, but it's fine with me. I hate run of the mill stuff. If I liked run of the mill stuff, I'd drive a jeep
