Heard you like welds?

So we put a weld on your weld so you can weld while welding.

We know lol.

It was a perfect opportunity for a joke though, and I couldn't help myself.

cost. 2.5's were 448 each, 2.0's were 270 each w/ resi. it would have cost me $1012 for 2.5 and it was only $610 for 2.0.

considering its a DD that sees sand maybe once a month, it was a easy decision.

It is good that you can prioritize like that. Me on the other hand, I tend to focus on the "what if" scenarios and talk myself out of value engineering options.

You didnt want to rebuild some used 2.5s? cost was also a factor for me and ended up going that route.

i honestly just like starting out fresh. ad with shipping it would have cost near the same for 2.5's as it would new.

tonight the other 2.0 goes in, and monday the rear axle.

list to do
New e-fan install and make shroud
Mount resi's
drivers side 2.0
expo axle install. rear brakes, lines, locker, regear
becage build, mount 2.0 shocks and resi's and plate around shocks to have clean "finish"
rear tube bumper finish (still working on the idea for that)
paint bedsides (quoted $400 to do)

i think thats it. might do a oil change and give it a wash before hand.

Finished the otherside of the front end last night, and took it for a little jump. love how its handling! Cant wait to get the rear shocks in, the back end is currently a bit squirrely with the rancho's and deavers.

and check out the bastard of a hole i get to work with on my filler neck...

honestly, i couldnt tell ya. i know the C6.R is the racecar, so my guess is some motor work to replicate the LS7.R setup. the owner before us used to run it on the track.
