Great Work! Looks like a fun truck. Have you run the 4.0/c4 combo before?

You plan on running a 9 inch when you link it right? Cause welding on a 8.8 center section is not the best idea.

havent figured out what color I want to go with it. highly doubt it will be purple though. I am pretty sure it will end up some sort of blue. I will prolly just drop it off to my painter buddy and let him do what he wants with it. and thanks for the kind words guys

oh and yes it will be getting a 9"... picking that up in a few days from a buddy. I have not ran the 4.0/c4 combo before but have heard good things. I plan to use a full manual valve body in the c4 and art carr gate shifter. I know this will not be very fun on the road but the truck is built for the dirt mainly so I am not too concerned with how it does on the street.

yes I am sure I will do some performance mods to the 4.0 however I am not sure what they will be as of yet. First I would like to get the engine and trans and get them in the truck then just go from there depending on how much power I really need. There is really not much as far as updates as I am still recovering from a rough and very fun 4th of July weekend and have been busy with work lately. I am hoping to spend some time on it this weekend finishing the cage up and trying to get my 2.3 running for the time being so I can get this thing in the dirt! I will keep you guys updated!

thank you sir! I am having some stupid issues trying to get this 2.3 thats in the truck running.. when I bought the truck it ran but ran really rough and would not rev above 3500.... the other day I finally decided to try firing it up again and it fired up and ran rough then ran out of gas as i forgot to put fuel in the tank after removing it... I put fuel in it and installed a new fuel filter today then went to fire it up and now it wont fire... I pulled the front plug on the intake side to check for spark and there is none. so now I am trying to figure out weather whatever was going bad before causing it to run like crap just finally died or if I am now chasing a new problem? I am just trying to get this motor going for a trip to the dezert before summer is over and to race a local tuff truck event on the 25th so if it is something too major I will prolly just do a motor swap now and get it over with... any ideas on what could be going on? I have my scangauge 2 hooked up and there is no codes and it is getting water temp data so it seems to be communicating with the PCM however the MPG gauge on the scanner is reading something like 99999... I am just lost with this pile right now... if you have any ideas please feel free to throw them out there so hopefully I can get this thing up and running...

not much for updates lately. just been building parts for other people and projects. I am hoping to get back to this project in the next few weeks and get the drive-train all together so I can drive this thing.
