That's what I said until I saw the eBay projectors in real life.

I was referring to the width of the output, and the intensity.

The top are the eBay ones, the bottom are MH1's.

Notice how the MH1's go way past the 3 point line, and have a much more even, and brighter focus throughout the entire width, and less hot-spotting.

Actually, I would like to state that these projectors have a fantastic cutoff AND a high/low setting, without resorting to a dual bulb/filament or running a second set of bulbs for your highs. As pertaining to the left and right cutoff sides, and how far the beam is spread - There is only so much you need before it becomes a "Ive got bigger ***** then you!", then the pricing as well - WIth the kit that I used, there is -no- issues anywhere, they are still running perfectly over a year later, any I still get lots of folks coming up to me asking how/where I got my headlights..

So, in any value - its still a win/win approach doing a retrofit, and the kit I used works fantastic!

Typically, yes.. most of all aftermarket ballasts are using the same connection - they feature a dual expansion joint that keeps them watertight after they are connected

Oh, no worries on it either, JP7! Just giving out other options! I would highly suggest a G5 kit if available, as the bulbs are fairly high quality, since mine was an older kit.. if I had to remake another pair I woudl go with the G5 kit in a heartbeat!

these projectors use special-built bulbs that you can't buy (Or at least I have not found them - I MAY be wrong. This is why I prompted "spare bulbs".

This was another thing that pushed me away from them.

item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=270439921955

I bought these, they arrived in about 5days even though ebay said the earliest would be the fourth. They work and everything bit the plug on the relay harness is really wierd and it has the right ends, but it won't plug into the 9007 socket.

Does anyone know how to pull the reflector out? I pulled on mine and it wouldn't budge

I believe you are going to have to follow the instructions on the headlight mod

I simply bent and broke the reflector out. Didn't need it because there was a huge hole cut for my projectors.
