Dewey's 05 Edge Build & SAS
I've used that same spot for my jack stands on my truck for the last six years. Never once had any issues with the "tit" deforming or stress cracking. If you're worried about the truck slipping off, that's what the e-brake and wheel chocks are for. The truck was chocked from both sides. It wasn't going anywhere. I don't mess around with jack points on my truck or anybody else's. There's a reason you're supposed to shake the truck before you get under it to make sure it's stable. And this truck was 100% stable.
Awesome. Got any pics of how you relocated the tcase shifter under your console?
I still need to do mine but i just have the cupholders. That F150 boot makes it look legit.

Update time. With everything going on with the new house lately, finally got around to swapping the 9.25 in and getting the internals for the D44 ordered. Had an axle seal leaking on the 8.8, so I figured I may as well swap out the rear rather than take it all down to swap it in another month or so.

Got a little help from my niece too.
Then I got it in and set, but the Dodge springs shifted the rear axle back about 3" which made my drive shaft extend out to the point the slip joint wobbled. That and a rear u joint that was slightly too small caused a terrible vibration at anything over 30mph.

So I then pulled the spring packs apart and used the ranger leaf as the top one to recenter the axle. I also added my AAL and overload leaf from the ranger pack to make a new, much softer leaf pack.

Gotta say I love the look of the G2 cover on the E4 axle

This picture was taken before I centered the axle in the wheel well and had to use the Dodge lift block to make the tires clear the back of the fender.
And here is what I decided to use for the D44 internals. I did go with another truetrac despite my inner cheapness trying to come out and get an Aussie Locker.

the truetrac has a $50 rebate on it to soften the blow.

How so? Shouldn't have an issue with flexing the back now

Not after I lift it up some more. If I think I'll have an issue, I'll put some bump stops on there
Thanks!
Thanks!
As the axle moves up, the top of the tire moves in so it should clear. It'll rub at full flex but 31's and up do anyways.
Dewey what's the WMS to WMS measurement on that rear axle

great looking truck , that rear axle sure is wide , if you dont want to shorten it ,why not change the box side ti stepside panels , they will cover the wheels nicely and give the truck an amazing look . a step side fleet side bed , one of a kind
Really enjoying the build and pictures! Recently bought a 2003 Edge step-side and getting lots of good ideas. Congrats on your marriage and upcoming baby! I am in Orlando, I'll have to go to one of the meets. I may be 61, but I'm not dead yet!

Thanks.
Ordered my front springs today and ordered the PSC fittings for the Toyota box too. In case you ever consider getting something from PSC, they way over charge for shipping. It was $20 for shipping on 3 little pieces of metal. The parts themselves, however are pretty fair. Hopefully get the front axle back this weekend so I can set up my game plan for the swap.

The SAS is very quickly approaching. Will be tackling a majority of the swap this coming weekend. Springs and PSC fittings have all arrived, just waiting to get my axle back.
And here's this for if you didn't think I'd get much flex out of the rear. This is the ditch in front of my house.
