Belonged to my father in law. It was having tranny issues, so he parked it. I had been looking for superduty axles for about a year and come up with nothing. So these will do.

Pretty much. I'd rather settle now and move up in the future than continue to be 2wd for years until I find 3/4 tons

So what's the plan for when you get the axles under your truck? Might as well just find a 4wd manual trans and t-case. Are you gonna run the same size tires or go bigger?

I actually just got my hands on a 4x4 extension housing and output shaft to convert my 2wd M5r1 to 4x4. I'm gonna run an electric t case with a shiftster since I don't feel like making a linkage because of the body lift. Let alone cutting the floor. I will do a manual t case in the future when I do a motor swap, but for how rarely I will use the 4x4 anyways, I won't mind getting our and switching it.
Tire wise, I'll run these 35s till they're worn out and then go up to 37s most likely.

You don't have to cut the floor. The tranny access plate is the same on all trucks. Unless you were just talking about the carpet and stuff.

I was talking about the vinyl floor. Don't want to have a hole to cover up when I motor swap and get a big boy manual t case

Pictures of recent happenings

Got the 9.25 ready to get regeared. Still need to choose a color though. It's just in primer to prevent rust for now since I still have to weld on different perches and shock tabs.

Also got the D44 cleaned up and ready to cut the coil crap off of.

Might have a line on grabbing a T case this weekend too, but we'll have to see how things pan out.

Picked up a CAI yesterday for $80. Filter was like brand new. Also had to modify it to work on my 05. Came off an 03 and the MAF is completely different. Got it working though l. And cleans up the engine bay a little bit.

No need to swap engines now that you have that. It's got to be good for at least 100hp

I had to take the cone off. The way I had to silicone the MAF in gave me a CEL since it wasn't quite in the right place.
.

So for now, I'll run it like this.

Hey Jacob, how much of a lift do you have? Just a 3" body?

Those 35's rub at all? And how do you like the 4.88s? I need to regear but I'm torn between 4.56 and 4.88.

No rub. 4.88 makes it very drivable. Still feels kinda stock.
