Dewey's 05 Edge Build
Small update
Took my truck off in a friend's pasture to see what it would do. I was very impressed with how well it did, only got stuck twice, but learned how weak the reverse is with this 5r44e. Anyways, on to the pics of the aftermath.
I also completed my 06+ facelift finally!
Had my friend cut some black vinyl to put on the E4 oval. I'm happy with how it turned out.

Well, guess I've got an update again. I finally tackled the auto dim mirror with auto headlights. It was an interesting task to say the least. Here's why....
When the mirror came off, so did a chunk of the windshield. But I got it finished and had a new windshield the following Tuesday. Free replacement thankfully thanks to Florida.
Also had to get a new DEWEY and get the tint redone, but it was time to switch it up a little anyways.
Anybody recognize anything familiar about it?
Also ordered another set of mirrors since my glass is all scratched up and so is the paint on the ones I have now. Trying to get ready for a Ranger meet in Clermont on November 7th.

It is kind of a love/hate thing. I was debating about getting it redone with the new windshield, but after seeing the truck without the sticker made it look naked. I don't even really care for windshield banners on most vehicles, especially when they say stupid stuff like "Sorry 'bout your neck" or "Big Nasty".

Yeah I feel it man. It's not a generic sticker and that makes it cool. I laugh whenever I see a Civic with a "Honda" sticker on the windshield. I have nothing against Civics and I even think the ones spoolin up some boost are pretty cool but when they get that Honda windshield sticker on there it's just... Gay lol

Well, I guess an update is due. Haven't done too much, with the new expenses of rent and an upcoming wedding, but I have done a little.
Got a grille from Shaun that he was going to use before he found a YZ one. Traded him some clear corners for the grille. I decided I wanted to run a light bar on the front, but wanted it to be a little different, so here went another project, in my defense, I had an empty fog light switch to use.
Started by pulling out the insert and replacing it with a chunk of expanded metal that I trimmed to fit snugly in the surround. Then I trimmed out room in the expanded metal for the 32" curved light bar I was going to use. After securing the light bar with brackets bolted to the header panel, I set it up to get a look at what the final product would be.
Then I decided to go with YZ paint to tie the windshield banner in with the cross member, and now torsion bars and brackets.
Then I decided to make a "FORD" badge for the front out of aluminum diamond plate that mimicked the older Broncos mixed with the raptor.
And then I ran some red led strips behind the grille to make the FORD stand out at night, looks better in person than it does in pictures, but its tied into my dome light circut, so i can light it up whenever I unlock the truck with the FOB or when I open the door.
Now with that said, I also made a HUGE breakthrough in the world of explorer full length consoles.
Bailey got me a small pack of shop towels for Christmas to keep in my truck, and I found out that if you fold them properly, you can fit a handful of them in the tissue holder and they will self-feed the next one out! Yes, for those of you wondering, it is "THAT" big of a deal.
And to finish off, my favorite shot of the Clermont meet
