New Updates

Well got some new things for my truck and it's going to have to be the last! I need to save some money and wait till the end of the summer for new gears and a limited slip. Ill get pics of when the new items come in. All I can say is I will have somewhat a newer interior or a better interior!

Explorer Lighted Sunvisors!

Yep got some explorer lighted sun visors in and mounted them yesterday. Then today my radio and window's stopped working along with the OHC. Well cuz my dumbass screwed a wire into one of the OHC mounting screws so I had to go pick up some fuses and do a little research of were the power window fuses were. And bought a Chilton book for the Ranger but didn't use it since I researched it on here! But anyways here are some pics I took tonight. The sun visors are a little darker Grey which I like. When I look into getting a new headliner down the road I think I would like to find one to match the new sun visors. Let me know what you think!

Looks clean! the color would not bother me, I'd rather have a leather steering wheel with cruise control than matching shades of gray

I did that same thing with the OHC lol! I have those visors too but I can't get mine to light up! How'd you wire them up?

I wired them to the OHC dome light power. The only thing that seemed reasonable and easy to do. One draw back is they don't go on when the truck is in the off position. But I really don't care about that since if a passenger needed to use the mirrors it's going to be while driving. If you look at the wires you should have 2 going into a connector. The closet wire to you if looking down at the visors is the pos. Strip it and extend the wire and the other is the ground. I just hooked the powers with a tap connector to the green orange wire on my OHC. Then using a tap connector to the black ground on the ohc. And there your done! Let me know if you have anymore questions

That's another thing I need to put on my list that I would like to do! But not on my top priority! It actually looks pretty cool the way it is with the light headliner and the dark grey visors. It really doesn't bother me either with the different shades of Grey.

Mine only have 1 wire coming out... maybe thats the problem. Maybe that spring is used as a ground and I can just extend a wire from it. Hummm I'll play around with it next time I'm messing around up there.

Interesting. Mine had the 2 which had a connector to a plug (probably to the OHC). What years did your's come from? Mine came from a 2000 but that shouldn't matter since they all should be the same. I don't really know then. Try taking it apart and see if you can find another wire in there for the power.

Is your Recon bar still working my puked a while back all it would do is come on when the turn signals, brakes, or reverse lights were being used does not light up at all with my normal lights. I even sealed it for winter at the connection and used Di-electric grease in the connectors to "help" it make it. But it failed.

Sorry to hear about that. How long did it work correctly until it went bad? Do you have winters with snow or anything like that? Mine still works pretty good It's hasn't seen much rain unless I wash my truck. I should seal mine up good before next winter. Maybe you got a bad batch. I know there all not perfect since my LED's inside the tube are not perfectly strait lined. But I love it, it looks great on lifted trucks the most!

Yeah mine's working great too. I think its a cool addition, not many people have them around here. Makes it really easy for people to follow you though, don't know if thats good or bad haha

Explorer Leather Seats!

Yep that's right Explorer leather Seats! Cleaned them and mounted them yesterday. And finished the seat belts today. Had to browse my garage for extra bolts and stuff, but they look great and feel great! I can also look over my shoulder and not have a big freaking passenger head rest in my way. It also make the cab feel bigger and more roomy. I bought them off of ebay for $300 and shipped them for $99.00. I knew this deal wouldn't come around again so I jumped on them. Got them in 3-4 days from Ohio and put them in. Only modification was to drill out 2 of the 4 holes on the rails. They lined up great too. They came from a 2002 Explorer Sport, I remember seeing a post by Redneckstone saying that the only seats that will fit in 98+ Rangers from explorers are: 98-01 02+ Sport and 02+ Sport Track's. Anyways I couldn't be happier and more comfortable. So thats why my old seats are for sale. (my for sale post got sent to the archives! ) Also a little thanks to Grains for a simple write up to follow when I got a little stuck or had to make sure I wasn't to screw this whole thing up!

After all unwrapped. I had to drill out the hole a little to make the headrest go down!

Drilling out holes and putting some primer paint over the exposed metal holes.

Ran out of black primer so I used some metalic paint instead. I know look weird.

Man those are in super nice condition!!! You need a Expo full console now, its amazing how much nicer it is than stock. I was about to say 400 is a lot for some seats but in that condition its understandable.

Nice, those are the exact seats I want.

Your truck looks good, it reminds me of mine (almost the same wheel/tire combo). How did you get the front center caps for the wheels to fit?

The center caps that came with the rims were as you know too short. I went back to 4wheel parts and I asked them if they could find me some longer ones. They did and they charged me $5.50 for each one. I bought six of them just in case. Might buy another 2 more just to have a clean back up pair if I ever break one or wreck one. Here's the part number for them: 7327009941. Hope this helps.

They were a little dirty and dusty when I got them unpacked. The only draw back is the plastic around the sides on the passenger seat are broken due to shipping, but it's not that big of a deal. A little leather conditioner goes a long ways too. And yes I need to start finding a Full expo console to finish it off in there! You need to post pics of your expo console too!

Cool, thanks a lot. I was looking for them and couldn't find them online, even went to the local 4wheelparts also and they called somewhere and couldn't find them either.

Husky Tool Box Added

Well I traded my old cloth my seats for a used Polished Aluminum Husky Tool box. It's not too bad since I got it for free. I will keep it on there for a while but later this summer I think I will get my self a Black Delta low pro one. This one looks too big and the polish does not flow with my truck that good. I like the one that FXWANNABE01 has on his truck. Any ways let me know what you think of it.
