lol i was thinking the same thing but did not comment on it.

i dont see a ranger mad flexing much over 37s without major fender cutting or running no fenders/bed

Im not saying you won't/can't.. Im just curious what your plan is...

I got tons and tons of stuff on suspension bookmarked.. throw your plan out. theres tons of people on here that can help you, and actually make that happen.
zabeard i know knows a ton.. and is constantly researching
redranger4.0
the list is long.
soo again.
whats the plan?

all i can think of is he better just build truggy or something to that effect and not even touch the ranger.

too many variables on the ranger that will not allow the 44s to flex like you want. look around, guys running tires 40+ inches on trucks(streetable) are rarely flexing or doing anything but flying through a mud pit or going to shows.

are you planning on running H1 double bead locks or something?
any other reason for a 16.5?

doesnt really matter what he broke. its the fact that you really cant crazy flex anything over 40s on a ranger. even 37s would be difficult to have flex all over like he mentions.

Everyone has illusions of grandeur when they start a build. I'm curious to see what he ends up doing with this truck regardless of whether it seems feasible or not.

Oh and I thought Jey just separated his driveshaft when he was on the 42s?

44x19.50

Engine 460
Suspension full custom rear 3 link, front 2 link both transverse leaf.rancho rs 9000 shocks. flexes pretty good.
Drivetrain c-6 auto,205 tcase run into two np435 4 speeds coupled together,a second np205,then to a 10.25 sterling rear and d50 front with 4.10 gears.both 205s have been twin-sticked,and with this drivetrain combo the compound low is 3240:1.at idle one revolution of the tire takes 7minutes.both diffs spooled.
Wheels 16.5 steel chromies
Tires 44-19.5 boggers

and no im not going ***** out im just showing its possible to flex 44s are 40s

beadlocks in the future will be one. but its just being 8 lug and making everything fit nice and smooth. i need brakes when i try to find them.

15inch wont let me without some good modifications

I really think your missing the point here Legion. We (as in Zabeard and icb12 and now me) aren't saying that it's not possible. We'd simply like to hear what your plan is. I mean if you simply don't know yet, that's fine. Just say your still looking into what your going to do and I'm sure that will be the end of the discussion (I hope).

Sure it's possible to get a truck like the one you posted (although that definitely has shaved fenders and bed and loads of customization), but there is a lot of custom work in that, and he went links not leafs.

P.S. I do love that truck. Haha... 7 minutes to rotate a tire at idle.

no i do understand completely and welcome feedback. (good at least haha) i will most likely go the 4 link way.
i am thinking of taking off my bed and laying down a new bed

such as

to carry a cooler and other goodies. and more travel and less body to dent.

im still debating on keeping it street legal or not.

while 44s do seem big i do and at least want to run a 39.5 inch tsl

i've seen them on an s-10 and i think its still possible and wheelable.

oh and if badkarma reads this your truck was spotted haha that thing is real big in person.

Don't mean to thread hi-jack (sorry Legion), but mine is on hold. I'm going to buy a JD4 Tube Bender, a Welder, and possibly a Plasma cutter before I start my SAS. I want to have tools handy so I can do everything myself. The bender comes next month (soon as I get paid), the Welder comes in December (hopefully) with the aid of some Christmas money, and the plasma isn't totally needed. So... it's gonna be a long while before I'm running my SAS.

Nice. So are you going to shorten the frame as well? Anything with 44's is wheelable (within reason of course, cause lord knows if didn't say that somebody'd show me a picture of a Ford Pinto with stock running gear with 44s slapped on it to proof me wrong). This should be an interesting project.

Make sure to keep us posted.
