Thats about where I'm at with my setup. I ok with it because I don't want to lose any low end power.

That combo will yield almost identical highway rpm, if not slightly higher. Taller gears = more rpm winding out. Here is a calculator link: - Dirt Road Magazine - Gear Ratio Calculator - (dirtroad.com)

I did 32s with 4.10s and 80 MPH and it came out to around 3200-3300 rpm (same as my setup). With 35s and 4.56s it is at 3500+. Definitely not a highway setup.

4.88s would make it even higher.

You didnt strap the kit? your asking for problems if you dont get limit straps in there before you go play.

What springs are those?

and where the heck are your shocks... lol

and the other half of the gussets? your missing the rear L and the bump stop plate

and for the fourth edit... get those gussets properly welded in place, that splatter is scary bro fab.

also, gimme some opinions. a guy wants to trade his 35in grabbers (50% tread) with 17in procomp series 52 steelies for my 32in bfgs with tons of tread and 15in series 52 steelies.. with some trimming i can run them, and ive got gears right here already. thoughts?

i wouldnt. for one you have a 3.0 and your gonna toast the truck on 35's, second the ford 8.8 really isnt setup for larger then a 33, and 35 grabbers are HEAVY. Third, they wear uneven, and fourth they are 50% tread, so you'll be replacing them soon and a bald MT is useless.

Id avoid it, if they were new it'd be a different story.

ill make a few more suggestions to save you headaches. Those gussets WILL rip if the front end decided to remove a mount. This welds wont hold anything in there, i could take those off with a 5lb sledge. Invest in some glass, around you its dirty cheap. if you dont you will eat your fenders with the tires, and wont be too happy. Replace the stock shockes on there with some valved ones, minimum higher end, if not full custom valving. Fox and radflo are pretty cheap and would work. Invest is bump stops, hydro. again, your going to bend something from landing that truck the way it sits. You WILL break something.

Also noticed the limit straps, those are much too short, under compression your going to run out of room the opposite way. I have 10", an 8 would work but longer is better. (more stretch)
