First off great work! I wish I was that handy.

Second, What was it originally? I didn't think any 2000 2WD's came with fender flares? Granted That was one of the three years since I have been driving I wasn't behind the wheel of a ranger or RBV.

The frame, drivetrain and electronics is 2000 and the body is 2004 except the powerdome. The wrecked 2000 had the black plastic flares but they got scraped up pretty bad in the rollover. I keep getting tempted to snap em on there until I paint the edge flares I have but I keep resisting the temptation. The truck is 4wd not 2wd. I have all the edge flares but 3 are white and one is the wrong shade of red. I also have a better tailgate but its green. Once I get caught up on other things I will get that stuff painted and installed as well as paint/touch-up the rest of the truck. I am also planning on adding the shackles in the rear and leveling it with the torsion bars, no plans for a body lift at this time.

I probably shoulda posted the picture that had me questioning things:

^ in this pic it is everything that is came from the factory with, correct? If so, it is 2WD in this pic and is has marks from factory fender flares. I just never seen a 2WD 2000 with fender flares. Just curious if there is a package I never knew about in 2000 that got you a 4x4 look in 4X2 form like a 2001+ edge. Or maybe I missed something.

Oh yeah wasn't thinking about that pic. This truck is actually a 2wd 2004 edge. The guy I bought it from bought it for parts and removed the parts you see missing including the ps door, lower control arm, torsion bar and front end. I don't know where the 01-03 hood came from. He advertised ranger parts and when I questioned him about a cab this is what I found. We struck a deal and I had my donor body. The 2wd frame is in my garage holding up another cab and bed for now.

Makes sense to me now. I thought that pic was the 2000 ranger you were talking about and that threw me off.

Most of it isn't that hard. Probably the hardest part is the electronics, that can be a pain.
