my chevy double cardan joint doesn't have enough travel in it for the amount of down travel i had, i cant imagine a LP axle, hell i've stuck the yoke on a few rocks too.
im telling you... leafs < 3 link the driveshaft does not need that much travel on a linked suspension

btw Corey, no way is that 3 link upper mount gonna fit you need to just make the smallest mount you can.

you know if you look at my pics i changed the whole exhaust system out

Looks like a good start. You're gonna have to be easy on it with 4d's though.

One thing I can't understand though is why everybody who uses a Waggy D44 converts their rear axles to 6x5.5 instead of converting the front to 5x5.5. All you need is spindles and a set of hubs, boom, you're done. Just seems a lot easier and cheaper to do it that way, but to each their own. Oh well, just something that has perplexed me.

Good luck with the swap.

You best bring it to the meet on the 22nd man!

i hope your good with a micrometer
Pirate4x4.Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive

measure the ranger DS, should be a 1330. if the 9" yoke is smaller its probably a 1310, what was the axle out of?

If its bigger, unlike what you said, and measuers almost to what a 1350 is, it might be what the dt shop called "oversized ford caps" which is bigger than a 1330 but smaller than a 1350

The difference between those 2 is less than having his rear tires lower by 10 psi compared to the front. I think you can usually go within .05 or something like that
