Project : Un-Ghetto a truck.
just from wht i know in the first pick of wires i didnt have the right way to sodder fior the wires for the light switch.. so sence i dodnt have the right tools to do the job i had to do the "ghetto" way out because i obviously needed it to work si i could see at night.
the pic with all those big wire d.... it all goes to the alarm....
do you rember when you put my stock mirroes back on... the wires tht were on there run through the hose in the door to what was a toggle switch..
there is also a set of wires beind the radio that are tied off for the underbody light
after that you can find a black wire under the top of the dash pannel and it runs to the radar... that also had a toggle switch.......
tht is what i can rember from wht the ricers did.... im gonna make a sticker tht says no rice allowed....
btw there is a lot of rice down here its horrible!
i did however fing an awsome ranger looks like mine w/ a spash bed on it..... i promise ill get pics to show you all... i have to let my cousin talk to them because i dont speak spanish......
D, Rob, Brian,Steve i still want to say thank you for all the work , time and effort tht you have put into my truck.....
And d if your willing ill do whtever it takes to save our friendship...lifes to short ya know and i dont think that our friendship dying over this is worth it.

Theres different types of paint and finishes.. Acrylic, Enamels, Eurothanes, Laytex, Oil based..
Some just don't like others. Some will eat whats below them trying to adhere or attach to whats below it.. thus the ' orange peel ' effect in those pictures.
Theres a HUGE difference between rattle-canning something and doing it with a spray gun. Instead of just doing 1 rattle can pass, theres a ' base ' and then a ' clear ' coat. You CAN buy stuff thats ' all in one ' but it doesn't look as good. Some of the paints require activators or diluters..
It only takes a lack of thought for one moment to cause an additional 8hours of having to sand everything down and start from scratch again to get it right.
The Bumper itself is fine, but the valiance had to be sanded all the way down to plastic again and re-primed. I'll hit it with the oxford white paint tomorrow while I start doing the acrylic finish to the door/lock area and the bumper itself. I'm way behind where I wanted to be but.. I took Friday off from work so I have the time I need to get this all done.
I need to mention a ' Thanks ' to Brian, Dave, Rob and Scott ( Beer Guy! ) for their stopping by and helping out with all of this. I would be WAY behind if not for their help.

OK.. today.. it rained. Can't do clear coat. Its REALLY a pain in the **** and a HUGE delay.
So.. Onto the other dealies..
Remember those wires I was talking about.. heres some examples..

Some of them weren't even connected to anything.. Everything is now soldered and tucked away.

The Panel under the steeringwheel is hosed. The gague bezel was NOT removed properly and the brass plate was bent down to get to the screws for the gague bezel. The next time the ricers/ghetto folks go to rip it apart, they have a long job ahead of them. I put in EVERY screw with extras I had here.
New game.. its called ' Guess the change '.

I had to use the power washer and then scrub the thing in my tub 3 or 4 times to get all the cherry soda off of it and get the change out. Start guessing how much was in there!
All clean..

Rain came.. can't do much else.
Scum bay!

Clean bay!

I managed to re-do the Drivers seat rails and re-mount the harness. I'm hoping its not pouring around midnight so I can start shooting clear coat. The paint match on the passengers side door is pretty close, but not perfect. I had to buy a lock seal that goes between the door panel and the lock itself ( no biggie ).
Just waiting to do clear coat..

Been doing some ' time management '.
With no Rain/Humidity :
I'm going to be able to get the grill all done. Underbody neons, finish re-doing the interior. I still need to drill out the sil plate screws and re-tap/secure the sil plates. I need to use some rtv/silicone or something to keep the leaking out so all the mold doesn't re-grow under the rubber flooring.
I'm NOT going to touch the stereo stuff at all. Shawna will need to take it to s PROFESSIONAL/CERTIFIED shop and have it done. after looking at all the wiring in the engine compartment and straightening ' Some ' of it out.. theres no 4ga or 2ga to hook an amp onto ( the el-cheapo shyt thats presently there isn't worth the noise it will probably bring ).
I need to build a bus/relay for those underbodies tomorrow. Time to stop at shyt-shack and pick up some goods.

Pops.
Heritage Full Dress. 2006.
You guessed correct. ( Clint Eastwood voice.. ) " Feeling lucky punk? Guess how much change is in the cup holders.. "
Anyway..
Radio bezel is done. The fog light switch is missing the bracket that holds it to the bezel. No fog light switch going on this time around.

I had to use fiberglass resin to fix all the vent tabs as every last one of them was cracked, broken or bent.

First coat of clear on and wet sanded. Letting it harden overnight and shooting the second coat tomorrow.

I'm tired! GOODNIGHT!
and what kind of bike is that in the back ground?
Im guessing its a harley but not sure.
