alot of people turn them down with a grinder..... here is another example of how you can do it....

When you turn them down, you only turn them down enough, just for the DOM to slip over it I presume?

yea brenton just open it up for the DOM to slide in and weld it up..

if you need a set extended give me measurements and we can get it going..

i dont charge that much (:

yes, you want to make it as snug as a fit as you can..... if you decide to turn them down the way zabeard did, you want to turn them down a few inches like he did for strength

Evan- the pics with the steering shafts..whats on top and whats on the bottom?
we stuck them in a lathe at about 305rpms. took .05 off each turn/pass

WOW! I like that, that is a good idea. Although both ways I really dont think anything is going to break! lol Not on a 1/4ton

cool zach, thoes arms are lookin good.

the top shaft is another ranger shaft.
the bottom is off a chevy van but im not sure its the one i need.

got the new wheels mounted on the back with the wheel adapters on. they stick out a little further which i like a lot. ill try and get pix soon. just so much little things to do still.

ya i like how its out a little more to. with the d44 in the front its going to be out 3.5 each side compaired to stock

well were trying to figure out how to get the axle in the back of the truck cause its so dam heavy. couldnt get a trailer for the week so everything is going in the bed. this is going to be fun.
anyways leaving tomorrow. dont no if ill be on since, but well have all the pix for ya.

are the rafters in your garage open. If so through a strap around one of the rafters and then wrap a strap around the axle and use your highlift as a hoist.
