One more piece to the steering problem puzzle. I've exhausted all my options so I broke down and spent the bones for this sucker. Hopefully I'll get it put in soon so I'll know if it was a waste of money like everything else I've tried so far.
Rebuilt steering box. I cannot move the input shaft with my bare hands which I could do easily on the old box which has gotten my hopes up that this might actually help.

Good news! Got the steering box in and I think its safe to say......CASE CLOSED! This rebuilt box made the truck steer like I would expect a straight axle to steer!. Its no rack and pinion IFS but it drives pretty damn straight! I drove the truck about 30 miles at 70mph and I was able to let go of the steering wheel and the truck was tracking straight! I'm super excited lol!
So in honor of all the headaches this freaking junkyard steering box gave me.......

your truck looks great and glad u got it all working right now
I went threw your theard and i didnt see any axle trimming. Ive started getting the parts to do a sas swap and trying to find an axle i dodnt need to trim down for width. Also i saw u bought a drive shaft for the front that looked like it bolted right in were did u get that (shorter one) im trying just lift it like 4-5 inchs with the swap just anof to run 35s. Also i saw u got a new steering shaft were did u get that too. ( trying to get all the parts i am going to need before i take it apart it my dd so i cant have it down to long ) any help would be great thanks
