No you can't do that. The programmers lock to a vehicles VIN and cannot be used on a different vehicle one that happens. If a person with said tuner calibrated your truck he would be out of a tuner!
Yeah, but what bugs me is that my odometer is logging more miles than I am actually traveling! I'm not sure on exact numbers, but lets say I drive 260 miles according to my GPS, my odometer will read 280. I know it was a least 20 extra miles on my first tank.
Edit: I type too slow and 3 others chimed in. Thanks

just use your gps! thats what i do. for instance my speedo is way off also. i just know that 80mph=60mph.. so i drive 80 on the freeway and call it good. or just keep up with traffic.... its really not to big of a deal, just make good judgement to how fast you are going and you will get used to knowing your speed and that will save you a ton of money that you can use towards something else!!
You don't need an xcal 3. Buy a used (unlocked) xcal 2 for a lot less. I still use an xcal 2 on my F150.
Then you can email a tuner and buy custom tunes that can be emailed to you if you want. You can get a bit more performance and it really helps if it is an auto.

I ordered mine off of Rogue Performance for $380 + $8 for shipping. you give him the info he needs and he will follow up on you with it with in a day.
its all good ive only had my truck since 08 and didnt know **** about gears, drops, lifts, solid axles, etc till i started hanging out around here ... the knowledge will come
Bump for Justice and NEW PICS!!! lol.....Looks awesome!! I really really like the size of it alot. And the axle width is freakin' perfect I'd say. Good work...just awesome.
Oh....I wasn't much of a fan of that bumper in the design phase...but now seeing it on the ground and on the entire rig, it really looks cool and different. I like it.

I still think the bumper looks not so hot in pictures, but in person it looks badass! I should have it back next week and then it will be ready to hit the trails! Frame is plated more, passenger side of the frame notched for TRE/Draglink and strengthened with more plating and gussets, removable engine crossmember is in as of now. Then it still needs a new tranny crossmeber, bumpstops, legal mud flaps, and next week I will pick it up! Then I have to save a little bit in order to get my Rigid Industires LEDs for my front bumper.

when its back i want pics of it flexed out!! and more of your front crossmember cuzz i plan on makin mine exactly the same (if you dont mind....but it probably wont look as nice)
I'm the one who wanted it back before it was 100% completed. The rear should have some crazy flex with the 6" Skyjacker leafs along with the Belltech shackle. It was already flexed on a fork lift by lifting the rear and i was so badass. I love the stability of the SFA. I wish I had my camera with me or my phone. He has a ramp so when it is finished we will ramp it.

still want pics though haha
so...would you reccomend shacless in the front over shackles in the rear? or was that just for your build specifically?...i read about it somewhere in here but dont remember where
I've heard that shackles in the front give it a better ride. I also liked the idea that if I bump something (like climbing a ledge) they will move a little. Or if I'm going down into a steep wash they will be a little forgiving. I haven't ridden in a SAS truck that has the same or similiar set-up as mine except with shackles under the cab toknow the ride difference. With the shackles under the cab I believe you get more lift. Matt also ran stock waggy leafs up front (except his were pretty worn) with a shackles in the front. You can also ask him and see why he did it that way. I also remeber seeing stock Wagoneers and Jeeps that came with leaf springs had the shackle in the front. I know it is also common for guys to do a swap and put the shackles under the rig. There is no right or wrong, just preferences, like Beard and his coilovers! lol
What shocks are you gonna be running with the skyjacker 6's?
I want to see how much flex you get out of the rear once you get it done. I know mine doesn't flex as much as I would like it to.

I will get new tires eventually. For now it will be running mall terrains......
