I'm sure the fenders will be nice and stuffed with a 35 tucked up there.

For entertainment purposes I really like the e-mails I get from my buddy/fab guy. He is honest, down to earth, and fun to hang out with. Usually when I visit I'm there for a few hours.
A few days ago I got this e-mail... "Cool. I got all the stuff out today. Axle, drive shaft, and the steering components. Tomorrow begins the hack and whack!"
If I didn't know this guy and it was strictly a business deal then I'd be kind of scared, lol! Hack and whack
This evening I got this e-mail....
"Friday is fine amigo. Be looking forward to it.
Well, things went well today (I love saying that) Got most of it cut off and started some grinding and "clean up" process today. There are some places I cant cut stuff off and some places were grinding is just to hard due to the grinder... well, not fitting. But, I will do my best to make it look good. I should be all done the clean up process tomorrow.. some mock up on Friday and then start the new stuff next week!"
That is the latest news as of a few hours ago. I should be down there Friday to visit my truck and take some pictures. 2-3 weeks after this one and I should be on the road breaking in my new 5.13s

yah.. i would only recomend a flare if you cut out the fenders more it will cover the rough edge.. dont get the huge bushwacker cutouts like i did. i already broke 3 off so i "fabbed" up some plastic garden stripping on now!! get the bushwacker pocket flares... like a 2.5 flare would look sharp..
and try to fabricate some sort of removable mudflap thats easy to take off on the trails.

I'm looking at these Mud Flaps by Pro Flaps
401 or 402 I have to measure and see. AZ law says the splash guard (mud flap) can't be more than 8" from the ground. These flaps by pro flaps are removable.

I really liked how yours are so simple to just take on and off. When I get a custom rear bumper one of these days I'll switch over to a similiar system to what you have. 2" square tubing, slid in and out, it looks like you're using a hitch pin or something. Very easy to take off and throw in the bed.

I visited my truck today. It's 90% ready to begin the build up. He just has a few more places on the bottom of the frame to clean up (he did it after I left this afternoon). The front is about 1.5" shorter than the rear so that is why it looks a little raked in some of the pictures. I took a bunch of pictures since I've been failing in that area recently......

The plan is to have it done in the next 3 weeks. Next week mock it all up, put in the steering box and steering. The week after that have all the major welding of brackets and front end. Final week tie up all the loose ends (shocks, extended brake lines, extended breather tubes, mud flaps, trimming/cutting the fenders, etc.) and then a trip to another shop for a re-gear, new optima, tranny flush, transfercase fluid, and I and I want to updrade to the 760x u-joints, as the old one are the stocks ones with almost 300k on them. I'll be back over there next week and hopefully we'll be on track.
