senor baja f100 race build

well ill start a rebuild thread for mike since his computer sucks
well one of my buddy peps favorite fords is at my buddy mikes shop getting built into a race truck
this is how it started out

today i went over there and he was working on a bumper for a bronco and asked if could help him out in any way so i tore the rest of the crap out of the rear end of the frame from the cab back
now it looks like this

later on this week im goin back over to cut the frame off after the cab
he has the kingpin i-beams for the front are there and the radius arms will look similar to these

heres a pic of the lower trailing arms all tig welded

got more done today i got the front end out from under this thing while mike was dicking around with a bumper for a titan

a couple thing he has sitting around for this thing
a currie 9 in center section that has been modified for a 10 in ring gear
and 3.5in axle tubes

Got any pics of the class 1/pre-runner in the background?

Looks good. Wondering why he's not going with a fabricated center section for the 9"?

about 12 inches the way the shocks were set up
and i will get a pic of the other two buggys in the shop and the bug


the reason for the non fabricated housing is he can set what ever length he wants on either side plus the cost is cheaper doin it this way plus currie doesnt offer it the way he wants

im not to sad to see the 4wd on this think get yanked out

and i got pick of the truggy and class one on my phone i will get those uploaded fairly soon

So........whats happening to that front axle? I'm sure someone would love it for a SAS project.

Keep it up, I love that body style, and I love the prerunner look, so this is a match made in heaven. Sweet paint job on the truck too!

nope didnt want to go all fancy wanted to keep it some what stock looking
and again they dont allow enough room for a 3.5 in axle tube
and he did cut the tubes him self
