How much for the finished product? lol

Didn't take you long to rip it apart! Looks like a good start.

Its full name is Orbital Dual Action sander.
I've always heard it called DA. Mine is like 18 years old but its well worn in, I like sanding, but dust gets EVERYWHERE.

Not everyone needs to grow up in one. It takes time, but you can learn the skill of Body filling.
I've been doing it since i was like 15 with my old man. I was doing old style tricks at the Dealership and freaking the older mechanics out.

Same here. I can sand all day long, but i HATE masking. I suck at it.

Update

DA'ed the **** out of it today. Its ready for paint. Got dark on me, and dad was clearing some parts for a customer's truck, so i will spray it tomorrow

Coming along man! You move faster than i would have on that kind of project lol.
the best way to get out of masking. hire a painters assistant. had one at the dealership, made my life so much easier.

that costs money. My pops is stingy with his money. Hell, he doesn't even like sharing it with me! He can mask an entire truck in about 15 minutes. Its crazy to watch. Me, takes like 45-900 mins. hahaha

Off to the shop to finish this bastard

Should look good. I was gonna do the same thing but with a jeep xj. Wish they offered khaki, od green and other colors like that from factory. From my knowledge the only company offering od green is Toyota and possibly Nissan. I seen a od green fj at the lot last night with factory rock sliders, roof basket and lights with 31-10.50 bfg at tires all around with matching spare. Pretty nice other than it being a yota and 36k lol

Can you take some pix of the trac bar and mount etc. Does it use the factory axle side mount with heim joints?

A lot of new style body men will just up and replace panels. Using a Slide Hammer for example, is old news. I have a picture of a Ram i did back in the Dodge dealership days, They said it couldn't be bumped. It took me 3 hours, but once it was done, couldn't tell.
( I don't have them on my Mac, I'll upload them in the morning)
Creating lines and ridges dosen't happen like it used too. I've seen some really f-ed up cars that guys have tried to fix but cant. By lines and ridges, think of how the ranger is without the flares, how the ridge is in the sheet metal. Its not easy, but if you take your time, you can do it.

sorry i have been such a bitch on pictures. i ran over my phone with the moving truck AND the ex so the cameras are ruined, but i ordered some new ones. I lost my actual digital camera in one of my many vehicles or places i lay my head. Therefore, i have no pictures of it painted... Or the ram setup... or the new stuff i got for the broken interior stuff...

I did take it playing a little more on some family land. Found out i can run over/through a barbed wire fence 4 times without puncturing a tire. (Don't ask... I have a shitty sense of direction... Why i own a GPS)

Also found out my drop pitman arm is hitting the ram. This is not good. Going to the JY Tuesday to see what i can find that will correct this problem.

The plan is to raise the whole draglink up 1/4-1/2" using misalignments on the knuckle side, and higher arm on the box side.

Truck also has a really hard starting issue i haven't plugged into yet.

finally have some shots of the ex painted. Still need to raise the drag link, hoping to get that done this week, as we are heading to meet John next weekend.

That whole truck paint looks good, that Steering shock looks cool painted to match also.
Hows it run?

starts kinda weird, but runs fantastic. We did knock out 1 dent in the driver rear door. I plan on beating the living **** out of this truck, so that was the only dent we fixed. Once i get a steady job again, it is going to Dedicated Customs in Louisville for an Exo. (He is a Ranger fanatic too, just into the lowered digs instead)
