Well, I took the Ex out for the first time. Couple of easy trails in the woods with some tight corners, so i decided to redecorate the side of the rig with tree marks....

Also had my first experience with mud.... Here is how it turned out....

Took 2 TJ's, a winch, a tow strap between the two Jeeps, and a strap tying the back jeep off to a tree to get me out.

The fan relay **** itself, but i have no idea where to find one. Here is a picture of it.

Maybe you guys can help.

Also broke the hydro assist mount off the axle, but Railman used a stick welder and got it all back on for me.

The CB also quit too.

CB is a big deal when you're wheeling in a group. If mine would've been working, i would have heard the warning, "Don't go in the hole on the far right...." Oh well. Made for a kickass video and cool pics. I just wish the guy that took the video would hurry up and email it to me!

Oh yea!

Well, i took the back door off the Ex so one of my buddy's from Pirate could do some airbrush work, but before i did, I had to take it out and play. So i found the biggest thing around to climb on that wouldn't get me in trouble, and what i found was stumps from where my pops cut down an oak tree. The stumps were higher than my hood... Which stands around 4 1/2 foot tall. So i decided to see how much flex the ex has....

edit:
I didn't know the video would be sideways.... I'll try and find a better copy

I seriously thought it was going to lay over. Once my adrenaline came back to normal, I took the hatch off and dropped it off with Mike. Supposed to be ready on Sunday.

Well, Mike Dodrill who works for James Duff, does a little airbrush work on his own. He is an Army vet, and when he heard about the rig, he said he wanted on board. He met me up in Lexington, and he took my back door back down to Vol country, which i won't hold that against him, and he began working...

here it is with the emblems taped up, ready for some masking paper.

Then he laid out the masking and cut it all out

Just to show the detail, here is a shot of the fallen soldier grave

Then he painted everything....

I love it. He is doing both sides of the rig as well at the beginning of the year.

absolutely!

Thanks buddy! I can't wait to actually get it out and have some more fun with it. Funds are looking better, so in the near future i am hoping to get it ready again.

I did get the hatch on and shot some paint over the Smokey Ridge Racing Stripes.

In the backgound you can see my next project.... The ol lady's TJ. It has changed a little since then, but nothing much. It's just a 4 banger, lowest model available. It's ok though, she likes it.
