What do you use to bend pipe?

I'm pretty sure he has a pro-tools bender to bend tubing

meh...same thing. I think I am going to call protool tomorrow they will send me free plans to make their bender. all i would need to buy are dyes.

Tube and pipe are very different. They aren't even measured the same way.

I know, I meant tube but said pipe.

Just from messing with your setup in the calculator, is it possible to lower the axle side of the upper link? Why do you have some much vertical separation at the axle? You want the links to be as flat as possible and as close to parallel to each other at ride height. I would try and increase the frame separation and take some away from the axle side. You only need like 8" of vertical separation at the axle.

Any plans on moving the axle forward at all?

yes, roughly 2 inches. any other input on the links? i know you were going to get some pics of your upper link for me sometime.

I thought I needed to have 25% of your tire diameter for link separation? I will lower it if you think 8" will be fine. That clears up some room by the engine.

even if you follow that rule you have to much, 25% of 37" is 9.25". Your in the 13" range with the numbers you have listed in the calc.

good catch. that is an error on my part. i will change the sheet.

it should be a little less than 10" of separation. (based on the brackets I have now)

I changed some numbers, when I get home I am going to measure to see if this will work. I like these numbers much better

That looks a lot better. Just remember the calculator is really an educated guess. A lot of stuff thats put in there can be fudged. Specially when it comes to placing your links. Some times you have to change stuff because of the frame your dealing with and what not.

Yeah when it comes down to it its gonna be what fits and what doesnt.

I think I can pull those numbers but time will tell.

My Currie AntiRock Sway bar showed up today. Just need to get the truck on some scales so i can order the coilovers.

I can give you a rough estimate, Its going to be about 1200 pounds per corner on the front.

Have you weighed a ranger? I was looking through you past threads and I didnt think you had come up with a good number yet.

A friend of mine has got scales, its just when I can get over there and weight it.

A friends 97 4.0 ranger came in at 1100 pounds per corner, so I went with the estimate of 1200 a corner.
