this morning at 4am it was -2 and felt like -27. Personally that is enough to make me move south and never go back north again!

I hate the freaking cold.

Looks like things might go your way for once.

Are you going to notch the passenger side frame for more up travel?

zabeard 12-29-2008 09:16 PM

so far so good chad. looks like around 5.5" of uptravel +/- .5" without notching the frame. I cant see notching the frame giving me too much room really. maybe an inch but i really dont know for sure.

seed60 12-29-2008 09:22 PM

Awesome looking setup. I just love it!!

04blackedge 12-29-2008 09:32 PM

casfz1 12-31-2008 07:47 PM

So Zack when do you think you will be done with it?

zabeard 01-01-2009 09:01 AM

if my coil springs come in tomorrow it will be sitting on tires this weekend. then I need to finish assembling everything and fix the fuel cell mount.

I spent 12 hours on it last night. its looking good so far, pics to come later today.

I will be tearing it all back down though when it is done, gonna smooth/paint everything up.

Coil overs are mounted
Shock hoops done
Shock hoop truss over the engine done
Upper link done

Just need to do,

put all the stuff back i took off
double shear the upper link at the frame
mount the panhard to the frame
cycle the suspension

ford rules 01-01-2009 09:32 AM

JoshK 01-01-2009 06:25 PM

Looks great Zach!!!!

zabeard 01-01-2009 07:42 PM

I measured total wheel travel out at the hubs 21.5" never changed caster through that whole travel.

6" of up travel and 8" down. its not quite 6 but its close.

Somehow everything seems to have worked out exactly how i wanted it to, just cant wait to drive it.

casfz1 01-01-2009 07:58 PM

That is awesome Zack. Your death wobble should be gone now.

So you going to do the rear next weekend since you got this rebuild done so fast?lol

My91Ranger 01-01-2009 08:07 PM
