Bottom end rattles
Ok so my 1996 Ford Ranger extended cab only has 139k on it, the bottom end has a rattle in it when the rpms reach 3k or i accelerate hard, when idling the engine is smooth and there's no noise at all, not sure what the problem is. I know i have to replace the tensioner and idler gear as one is squeaking when I start it. The truck runs really well since my last post since I replaced all of the sensors except o2 sensors. Also it had no engine noise when I first bought it about 1 1/2 years ago and it started after my first oil change so I'm sure it had thicker oil in it to keep it quite.Just looking for ideas.

Not sure
Not sure at all, just had a new flywheel, front seal in tranny, rear seal in engine installed about 3 weeks ago, the mechanic said everything he checked underneath the truck looked good but not sure what all he actually checked, but i will check on those as soon as weather permits. Tyvm for the ideas! My brother did say he could hear an exhaust leak at idle but I swear I just can't hear it!
