Edge torsion bar suspension ? Easy to lift ?

Yep, for around $300 you can buy lift spindles that will lift the front of the truck 4". There's how-to articles in our how to section on how to install them. I'm sure there are youtube videos too by now.
Two things, you need to make sure the spindles you buy are for a torsion bar Ranger. The ones for coil spring Rangers are different.
Also, there is a small round bump stop on the side of the lower control arm. That needs to be ground down flush with the control arm. The caliper makes contact with that bump stop, and it causes your brakes to grab and release. I've seen people wreck their trucks because they didn't grind it down, so grind down the bump stop.

Really seems to depend on the spindle. My first set was smashed into a hidden tree stump under a mud hole, and they were just fine, no damage. Sold the spindles to somebody else, and he never had an issue with them either. My second set snapped while going over a small curb. It looked like there was a hairline crack that split open, and then from there it opened up further until the end of the snout snapped clean off. QC is non-existent when it comes to cheap lift spindles.
