I know most of you guys have been around cars and trucks for a long time, but I'm about as mechanically inclined as a handball! I don't know a PCV from an EGR from a TSP...to say nothing of what those acronyms mean (am I in the Army again?)

How about getting a permanent sticky on one of the forums with a list of acronyms and their definitions? Would really help us newbs with the lingo (and keep us from embarrassing ourselves) and keep us from asking you guys a bunch of stupid questions.

Here's a thread that started a little while ago that has a lot of abbreviations. It was suggested to be turned into a sticky, but never happened.

A lot of those are what I'm looking for. But I was thinking more of an alphabetized list of actual automotive acronyms (not internet slang) and their definitions on a single post, not a long drawn out thread.

Would be much easier to look up that way.
