You probably have a popup blocker on your computer. I don't on mine, and if I have a PM waiting a nice pop up windows opens up telling me so. I like that, so I say leave it that way.

Follow Q's advice and check your spam folder on your e-mail. Then put christian's e-mail on your address book, or whatever bypasses your spam filter. Then you'll know about the pm's as soon as you check your mail.

I have the same problem with the pop-up. If you put R-F in the list of sites allowed to have pop-ups, it should fix it. Also, makea rule to allow the e-mails from the site to go to your inbox. Adding that feature to the board right now might be kinda tough. We are in a transition period right now since Skot went got himself a job.... :)

currently, that is not possible...

i am considering switching to vbulletin in the near future... but with what i already spent on the site, and how much i love the current layout, it could be a little ways off...

i will look into any kind of mod i can do to make the pm's show up another way, but i am almost possible it is not possible...

ok thats cool, that was just an idea anyways. I don't have any kind of pop-up program on my computer and still the pop-ups still don't show up, the regular stupid ads does tho. and on email I sent yahoo the "not spam" so hopefully it will start going to my inbox now.. I posted this about 10 minutes after i skot left, i prob wouldn't have said anything if I knew he was, wasn't until later, that I saw his post and clicked in.. oh well...

im sure im with everyone on this, that the layout is awesome, try to leave it like it is...

If you have windows XP service pack 2, then you do have a popup blocker.

yup, mozilla has a built-in pop-up blocker. If you go to edit, then preferences, it's somewhere in there. :)
