Posting Problem
Hi Folks, I was able to reply to others and post pics in an album, but for some reason I can not start new threads. I get the usual message saying they have to be reviewed by an admin, then radio silence. It's been about 60 hours since my most recent failed attempt. I also tried to report this via site feedback, and again radio silence.
Is there some secret club handshake, or PC setting that is screwing it up?
The question I need answered has to do with valve cover grommets on my 2003 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L Duratec engine (235k). I can not find the exact grommets available anywhere, either at auto parts stores or online. How do others with my engine get their new valve cover gaskets sealed under proper torque, and most importantly stay that way without regular retorquing? The old grommets are cracked and missing pieces. Do you use a substitute grommet for some other engine? What is it?
Thanks for any help with my posting issues or the valve cover issue.

To answer your fist question, There was another member here recently that had every post of his being automatically flagged as spam. I will get in contact with the site admin for you on this matter.
Now for your second question, a valve cover gasket set from any auto parts store should have everything that you need in it. Maybe try posting a picture for us to see what exactly you are referring to.
