Site Loading Issues

As of 2009Feb16 20:00 I'm having issues accessing the site. I'm assuming others are as well because of 9 posts in an hour. Usually that number is around 25-30. I was unable to access the site, but I could ping the website. After I did the ping, I tried to access it again. No luck. Then I went to http://67.213.208.39 which is the site's IP and the site worked again.

Trent I think you should try going to that IP and see what happens. I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. It's the server/site IP. It doesn't bring you to the site, but it happened to make www.ranger-forums.com work again.

Ok. I was trying to make sure it wasn't an isolated issue. I figured it wasn't because the lack of post in an hours time.

I wish we could find a server that didn't have problems.

Problem is you get what you pay for. Not that many contributors so we cant afford some fancy server. That is the truth to it all in one sentence.

I could move us again but its gonna be the same story. Works good at first then randomly crashes off and on. Right now I like these guys support, they are super fast and get it taken care of.

Last night I submitted a ticket after it didnt come up for 10 minutes. I got an email at 10:55, we are working on it! Then another at 11:30 it should be coming back up now.

If anyone wants to pitch in and contribute more or buy more stickers let me know with the current economic state, i hate to upgrade to a larger server that we can barely afford then guys start loosing their job and I have to pay for it out of pocket.

Id like to get some sales on Tshirts and Hats so that maybe one day we can upgrade to our own dedicated server. Our current host has been known to have good dedicated servers right now we are on a virtual server.

Yup, I wish it worked better but I cant do much about it at this point. I just dont think our current group can support the higher hosting fees at this point.

Yeah I'm in for shirts and hats whenever you want to get that going. I've been waiting for a year for them.
