Truck won't start
So my ranger started knocking really loud coming home and I started climbing a hill and it started losing power once I got it home I let it cool off a few minutes and checked oil and coolant it all was fine so I started it up it idled really rough so bad the whole engine was shaking so I turned it off and now it cranks but will not start

Do the 50/50 test
Spray gasoline or Quick Start(ether) into the engine and see if it starts
If it starts and dies then lack of fuel is the issue
If it doesn't start then lack of spark OR Compression is the issue
50/50
What YEAR Ranger and what ENGINE?
If its a 4cyl 2.3l or 2.5l Lima engine timing belt may have slipped
Do the 50/50 test

Not while it's on the engine.
But before you do anymore disassembly (except for pulling the spark plugs), you really need to do a compression test.
From looking at the runners, I'm guessing your engine has a bad case of carbon build up, causing pre-ignition, the really loud knocking sound.
And that your plugs are so oil fouled they won't spark.
You may have just needed new plugs to get it started, but you decided to start taking it apart.
Again, do a compression test before taking anymore parts off.
