I gave it an 8...which I think is pretty good since this is a fledgling site. :D
I myself like the color scheme. The colors are different and I like the contrast of the letters to the dark background.
I would, like others, like to see the "view posts since last visit" put in forum group order instead of by time/date. Some things I like to pass by if it don't really apply to me.
I figure over time the tech stuff and how-to's will grow as ppl post them on here.
I myself like the kinda off-topic forums. Gives ppl a chance to talk about everyday stuff with everyone on here and possibly help someone else, or just make them laugh. :D
Would be nice to sort through members list to find ppl by state or region only. That might be asking for a lot though.
Ok, there's my two cents! Keep up the good work Christian.

i love the website and i think everything is great. Christian did a great job setting it up and the people that helped him. It takes a lot of hard work and time to do this i am sure. I used to be on another ranger site but i come here so much i am never on the other one. I really like the fact that everyone knows eachother and its a great site to learn things on. I have only had my truck for a little over a year and i know so much about it just from reading posts and getting information from people....but i think Christian did a great job and everyone else so i give it a 9..i am not sure i can give it a 10 right off but i know it will get there...

I gave it a 6. I'm pretty stingy with 8-10's though.

I don't mind the colour scheme. I agree, it's definitely original and you know you're on ranger-forums with the dark screen.

The only thing I've found, and it's probably just because of the computer setup or something, is that every time I click to a different page, I get a screen that asks if I want to install Macromedia Flash 7. I surf mostly on the computer at work, and don't want to download tons of stuff onto it.

I like the site, and it seems to be fairly busy (some sites when I click new posts, there's.... 3 new posts). Waiting to see if I fit into this site.... there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of older Rangers here.

Perhaps, but she's got a point. Some workplaces have VERY strict rules about what you can and cannot do w/ their PCs. I know in my GF's shop they work on PCs w/ user logins (XP & Win2K) and give all users pleab rights on their own PCs. She physically cannot install things, even if she wants to. Now in most of those cases it is also against the rules to be surfing places like RF.com, but she's got a point.

i dunno, I like this site, and it has great potential..

Its just hard for me to get used to a site like this when coming from RPS...Im not used to a community site, where anything and everything is talked about, infact theres times were I will come on R-F and realize theres nothing but "crap" posted and not bother to read any of it, but thats jsut me, I am more of a tech guy and leave all the community stuff to instant messenger...

Im not saying it should change , but I am defienety looking forward to more tech orriented posts to start...

But I must ammit, I have been gaining alot more friends thru this site and im liking that fact

I love the site, personally... I feel like everyone here is their own "character" and its not like some sites where it is just a bunch of boring names posting serious questions and then bickering over it...

Compared to the other few Ranger sites I go to sometimes.. this one would be my favorite. The flow of the site is very simple and makes it easy to navigate thru. as far as color scheme, these colors you have now i think are fine.. optional colors i guess would allow anyone to make this site more personalized, which would be fine as well. i saw a thread about a chat room possibly coming up.. that would be a good thing i think.. anyway.. i gave the site a 10.. its overall really good as it stands, and any changes made would have to be seen first to rate if there's a difference.

I give christian a 10++++++ for getting this site going so well. absolutely awesome. as far as overall site rating, I will not because it isnt "established" yet.

But I will say that I wish there were more than 3 hundred something members, but that is no ones fault. I also wish there were a quicker reply rate as to get some more answers quicker.

Other than that I like what I see.

If it helps, ranger-forums is my new homepage, replacing my previous and LONG standing homepage of gen-edge.

i will tell you one thing... when i joined gen-edge, it wasn't half as active as this site is... and gen-edge had been around a year when i joined...

this site is moving faster than almost any other ranger site has in the same amount of time...

This site wasn't like some that open and have 10 or 20 members for a while and SLOWLY gains, it opened up and took off like Leo's truck with traction!

And the reasons are:

1) A good man as the owner/operator. Not kissing ***, but simply noting an observation I've made. I'm an RPS veteran, and I've seen Christian over there, plus on Gen-Edge. On both sites he's always been pretty cool to deal with (never too emotional, not a jackass like a lot of members over there).

2) Good group of people came with him. It seems like the better people from Gen-Edge and some of the better folks from RPS came over immediately. I, myself, don't regret the merge, lol.

3) Light moderation. This is a biggie for a bunch of guys. Plus, I like knowing that if I want to, I can actually chat about God on here without being banned in two seconds. That's a big brownie point (for me, anyway).

Keep up the good work Christian. :)
