Where’s this wire go?
2000 Ford Ranger Ext cab 4.0 automatic. Drivers door speaker and some light/door ajar not working since purchasing the truck in the spring, started looking under the dash and found these two sets of wires unplugged, the wire colors match up to what’s in the driver side door. Was able to find the other end of the larger plug and now the speaker works, I cannot find the end for the smaller plug though. Can someone confirm this is for the door switch? I’m not sure if it’s extra since I have crank windows, so I don’t want to spend a ton of time searching for something that isn’t there.

Welcome to the forum
I see a light green/red stripe wire on the E-brake switch, so that would fit at that location
There is a switch on that pedal that will close when pedal is pushed down and that will light up the BRAKE light on the dash with Key ON, to remind you the Parking brake is ON

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I don't think that's the wire. The ebrake switch already has a wire hooked up to it. The wire/s in question are light green/orange (picture didn't show that well) and match the wire/s inside the door panel. The wire it also too short to reach the ebrake switch, if it has a purpose/plug, its up by the fuse panel behind the instrument cluster.

Thanks for that. The info I really need is: where the heck does it that two hole plug plugin under the dash. I’ve been feeling around and looking but it’s hard to see and feel around under there. If anyone has a picture of where it hooks up, or an explanation on how to find the other end, that’s be great.
