Ford ranger problems

I own a 2000 Ford Ranger. The other day the abs and check engine light came on the dashboard. The speedometer started going up and down and stopped working at times. My truck started shifting real hard and rough. I am not sure if this is a comuter problem or possibly a sensor. Is there anyone who can help me with this problem and point me in the right direction.

On trucks with 4wabs the instrument panel(speedometer) gets the signal from the gem, the gem gets the signal from the abs servo under the hood and the servo gets the signal from the speed sensor on the rear axle. I would either clean or replace the speed sensor on the rear axle and see if the problem goes away. You should read the code(or have autozone do it) to see what the cel is.
