An injector partially stuck open would dump the remaining fuel in the fuel rail until the pressure went down.
With a cold engine, the fuel would have had time to evaporate and not cause a problem.
A warm engine, just shut down for a short time would have gas sitting in the intake causing too rich of a fuel/air mixture.

Mine does this occasionally.
Try some Injector cleaner, i recommend Lucas Oil. i do it about every 6 months, keeps them clean and lubricates the lifters.

Are you talking about the regular lucas oil or do they make a fuel injector cleaner?

I get slightly better mileage running this stuff, but my truck idles better with it. I suggest getting a gal jug if you can find it, it has the best price.

How long has it been since you put the bottle in the tank?

I have a gallon of the stuff, and i have a little bottle to pour it into when i go to the gas station, its just easier that way, lol.
