2wd front tow hooks?

Did ford ever make front tow hooks for the 02-2010 2wd rangers? I can only find them listed for 4x4's. Will the 4x4 hooks fit a 2wd? Im trying to figure out an elegant solution for tying down the front of my boat while its on my rack. Obviously on the rear I can just tie to the hitch but theres nothing up front!

For light use you can drill and install any hooks in the frame, 2WD frame may have bolt holes for Ford hooks, you will have to look, but you can drill holes for them

These hood straps can also be used for tie downs, C&P this link, //www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHumPaCUK8s

You could make something similar, and even use similar short nylon strap on existing frame bolt if you want more strength, and just leave it there full time

Yes please. I would like to have something for the front of my 99 so my 4x4 buddies can pull me out when I get stuck.

i see i got a clear pic of a part number - dont know if that helps or not. They are more like tow loops not hooks but serve the same function. Plenty beefy tri bolted to the frame as you can see.

yup that number corrolates to these. says 99 -11 says 4wd but clearly on my 2wd edge with torsion bar front end. I dont know if the coil front end changes anything.

The coil spring trucks do not have the front cross member that the tow hooks bolt to on the 4x4 and 4x2 Edge/Sport trucks. That is why the factory tow hooks are not listed for the 4x2 coil spring trucks.

In order to put tow hooks on the front of your truck, you will have to find a way to utilize one of the universal aftermarket options that are available.

I will explore these options. I barely escaped a mud hole this weekend.
