3.0
Welcome to the forum
A 5.0l OHV V8 from a 1996 to 2001 Explorer
Seriously
The 3.0l Vulcan is a high RPM engine, NEEDS to be driven with RPMs above 3,200 ALL THE TIME, to get any power, that's its DESIGN
This makes it impractical for any upgrades, even tuning
Some upgrades seen here: Tom Morana Racing Engines
But grain of salt on HP gains
The 1996-2008 can be tuned, but probably looking at $700 to get started, and again, grain of salt for any positive gains
3.0l Vulcan is just not a good design for improvements
Its reliable, thats its main function
