Fog Light Replacement Help 2006 Ranger Sport

Hey guys!!

I'm new here so go easy on me!! I hope its ok to post this question here. I posted it in my old forum but that place is a ghost town nowdays.

I'm in need of some help installing my aftermarket fog lights on mu 2006 Ford Ranger Sport that are a direct replacement of my old ones. The fog lights that are currently on my truck look bad and I am trying to replace them. I bought a set from Ebay that are a direct replacement.

I went to remove the old ones but where the top of the bracket attaches to the front end, (bolts 2 and 3 pictured), it looks impossible to get a wrench of ratchet in there. Bolt 2 is even covered up by a metal bracket of some kind.

So then I decided just to change the light housing and not the full bracket. I read one post where the person could just squeeze the light housing out from the bottom of the bracket between the front plastic valance and the plastic light housing....but there isn't enough room to squeeze it out after removing the 2 pins and the bolt w/spring.

Does anyone have any tips on how I need to replace these fog lights without removing the front valance or bumper?

Thanks!!

I was just told that I need to remove the front bumper. At least it doesn't look too involved.

It's four bolts and then the fog light connections. Very simple to remove and they aren't that heavy, just awkward.
